MY STORY

Hi, I’m Karen Flaherty and I’d like to share my experience of Human Design with you – to tell you my story in the hope that Human Design might change your life the way it’s changed mine.

Over the past thirty years, I’ve had fulfilling careers in sales and marketing in a number of different industries – online training, licensing and merchandising, healthcare consulting and retailing. In 2009, and in rather quick succession, my compensation plan changed significantly, my health was compromised in two different ways (not seriously – just enough to make walking or eating very painful for the same four months) and then my brother and mother passed away suddenly within a week of each other.  It was enough to get my attention, and take a little time for introspection.

Fortunately, early in 2009, I also heard about Human Design.

Coincidence?

Almost two years later, I’m thinking it wasn’t a coincidence. It was time for a change in my life -- time for discovering what I’m here for and actually acting upon it. Human Design helped me to follow a strategy that works for me – simply, and with a little practice, in a way that becomes second nature. So, after years of reading books and taking loads of seminars, I found all the answers I was looking for in my own Human Design chart.

Soon after having my Human Design analysis done, my perspective on life changed.  Everything was new again - my relationships, my career options, my view of myself. Possibilities emerged again, I stopped taking things personally, stopped taking myself so seriously and -- hope returned. I was thinking: Maybe there IS something I could do with my life that would bring contentment for me as well as fulfill the desire to help others that I was longing for --  along with providing some financial security.  It sounded good – and now, it is good. Things are falling into place, and I’m passionate about helping others find the same peace I’ve found.
